Join Jeff, our Master of Scotch, as he leads you through a journey of discovery—one dram at a time. Each tasting is shaped around what you love (or what you’re curious to learn), weaving in the history of each distillery and how its traditions still echo in the glass today. Along the way, you’ll uncover the “why” behind the flavors—what creates certain aromas, textures, and that signature finish that lingers like a good memory. With a collection spanning Scotland’s great regions and beyond, our program invites you to explore widely, compare boldly, and even chase that bottle you’ve always wondered about. Come sip, learn, and leave with a new favorite—and a deeper sense of how whisky becomes magic.
Each guest will be guided through five rare, aged expressions — including 18 and 21-year Scotches rarely encountered outside of specialist collections — poured at the traditional half-ounce for proper nosing and tasting.

Jeff LaBelle joined The Inn at Little Washington in 2020, bringing with him a lifelong fascination with the alchemy of distilled spirits—especially whisky. The origin story begins far from Virginia: on a family trip to Borneo, where a curious sip (at the age of 10) sparked a passion that never quite let go.That curiosity became craft. Jeff is a Master of Scotch through the Council of Whiskey Masters, and also holds the Certified Whisky Specialist credential. He is a Certified Bourbon Steward (Stave & Thief Society) and has earned certifications in Gin, Scotch, and Irish Whiskey through the Edinburgh Whisky Academy. At the table, Jeff’s gift is translating a big world into the perfect next pour—whether that’s a gentle introduction or a once-in-a-lifetime dram.
