The countryside surrounding The Inn at Little Washington is home to some of the most beautiful hikes, winding country roads, and picturesque views on the East Coast. Whether your journey leads you to a scenic overlook, a quiet meadow, or a sun-dappled trail, our picnic lunch is designed to make the experience feel even more memorable.
Inspired by the generosity and artistry of the Inn’s Michelin-starred cuisine, this lavish picnic for two brings a taste of our celebrated kitchen into the great outdoors. Prepared with abundance, whimsy, and care, it is a feast meant to be savored at your own pace—whether spread beneath a canopy of trees, enjoyed beside a breathtaking vista, or tucked into the perfect hidden corner of the countryside.
Guests may choose between a classic wicker picnic basket or an insulated backpack, each thoughtfully packed and yours to keep as a memento of the day.
Each picnic includes a Champagne-Brined Ham and Butter Baguette with Whole Grain Mustard, Poached Maine Lobster and Tarragon Pasta Salad, Tangy Coleslaw, Grandma’s Potato Salad, and a selection of cheeses chosen by our beloved “Cheese Wiz.” To round out the feast, you’ll also find Route 11 Potato Chips, Trail Mix, Seasonal Fruit, Freshly Baked Cookies, a Crock of Chocolate Mousse, and a half bottle of white wine.
One picnic basket generously serves two people.
