Wellness Wednesday Dining Experience

Chef Patrick O’Connell has always viewed the dining experience as a creative, healing art form. The function of which, in its highest sense, is to restore and revitalize people. The loving preparation and presentation of food is but a single element in the process. To restore someone to wholeness, it’s necessary to address the whole self –stomach, spirit, and sense of well-being.

In celebration of The Inn at Little Washington’s restorative philosophy, the Inn is offering an inspiring day devoted entirely to vitality.  Begin by joining Farmer Andy in the Garden of Scents for a reception in our newest garden. Forage among our fragrant collection of herbs and flowers and discover the dirty, little secrets behind the Inn’s regenerative, agricultural program. Afterwords, experience a chance encounter with our regal flock of American Buff geese, as Farmer Andy leads our own little parade: serenading the street with his vintage soprano saxophone.

Prior to your dinner reservations, enjoy the comforts of the living room, with canapes from our culinary gardens, and enlivening mocktail offerings. In the dining room, choose between our nourishing Here and Now or Good Earth menus, both of which feature vibrant vegetables and herbs from our farm, harvested at their peak. A curated water tasting menu accompanies dinner, showcasing rare, naturally sourced still and sparkling water from around the world. As a parting gift, each couple will take home a copy of Tomatoes for the Table, a charming cookbook created by the Dolley Madison Garden Club of nearby Orange, Virginia—a chapter of the Garden Club of America.
