Known for the pun-filled cheese presentations that have become a beloved highlight of dinner service, Cameron Smith invites guests to go beyond the jokes and into the rich, fascinating world of artisan cheese.

In this 45-minute program, Cameron shares the depth of knowledge that curious guests often ask for—exploring the origins, traditions, and craftsmanship behind a thoughtfully selected range of cheeses. Along the way, he’ll discuss milk types, aging techniques, regional styles, and how factors like terroir and time shape flavor, texture, and aroma. Equal parts educational and entertaining, the experience offers a deeper appreciation for the artistry behind one of the culinary world’s most beloved foods.

About Cameron

Cameron Smith (affectionately known as “Cheese Whiz”) is the Inn’s Maitre du Fromage. He has become one of only a handful of Certified Cheese Professionals through the American Cheese Society and is an avid student of the history and science of cheese making. His cheesy jokes and puns have added an entertaining twist to our cheese service. Cameron is also our “Tea Master” and is certified through the International Tea Masters Association. He curates the rare and exotic teas served during our afternoon tea service and is learning the art of the ancient Japanese tea ceremonies.
