Will pool access be available year-round or seasonally?

At this time, we plan for the pool to remain open year-round.

Is the pool accessible?

Yes. An ADA-compliant pool lift is available to assist guests with accessible pool entry. Please alert a member of our staff if you require assistance.

Is there a dress code?

For 48 years, The Inn’s “official” dress code has been “no wet bikinis.” Chef Patrick has graciously relaxed this requirement at the pool.

What should I bring to the pool?

Towels and sunscreen are provided poolside. Robes are available in guest rooms and may be worn to the pool. For guests who may have forgotten a bathing suit, a selection is available for purchase in our Tavern Shops.

Is there a lifeguard on duty?

No lifeguard is on duty. Guests swim at their own risk.

Can the pool be rented for special events?

Yes. Private events may be held at the pool outside of normal operating hours. Please contact our Special Events department for more information.

Are children permitted at the pool?

Yes, however guests under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Is the pool heated?

Yes. The pool is heated and kept at a comfortable 85 degrees year-round.

Are cocktails and wine available?

At this time, mocktails and other non-alcoholic beverages are available.

Is food and beverage service available at the pool?

Yes. Guests may enjoy a poolside menu featuring snacks, lunch, desserts, mocktails, water, and other non-alcoholic beverages.

Are showers available?

Yes. A private enclosed outdoor shower is available immediately adjacent to the pool for guests to use before or after swimming.

Are cabanas available?

Yes. The pool is flanked by four luxurious cabanas, designed for relaxing poolside throughout the day. Cabanas are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be reserved in advance. Additional seating is available around the pool, as well as at our outdoor pavilion, The Temple of Diana, located adjacent to the pool.

Is the pool open to the public or restaurant guests?

No. The pool is a private amenity reserved exclusively for overnight hotel guests.

Where is the pool located?

The pool is located adjacent to The Parsonage House, directly across from the Main Inn.

When will the pool open?

The pool makes its debut on May 14. Hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.

Who may use the pool?

The pool is reserved exclusively for overnight hotel guests of The Inn.

Can we request an early check-in or late check-out?

We are happy to note the request in your reservation and will make every attempt to accommodate pending availability. Unfortunately early check-ins and check-outs cannot be guaranteed.

What time is check-out?

Check-out is at 12:00 noon.

What time is breakfast?

Breakfast is served to overnight guests in the main dining room from 8:00AM until 10:30AM and does not require a reservation.

What time is afternoon tea?

Afternoon tea is served to all overnight guests between 2:00PM and 5:00PM in the living room and does not require a reservation. You may simply relax and enjoy your choice of teas and canapes as your room is being prepared.

What time is check-in?

Your room is guaranteed to be ready by 4:00PM, but you are more than welcome to arrive early for afternoon tea and take a stroll in our village.

May I make reservations for parties of 5 or more?

Yes, however we have a limited number of tables that can accommodate larger parties. We kindly ask that guests with parties of 5 or more please make their reservations with the reservations department in order to make sure that we can accommodate you.

Is tip included?

A service charge added automatically for your convenience. No tipping is expected.

Can we request a specific table or area in the dining room?

We are happy to note your request and will make every effort to accommodate it, however we cannot guarantee availability.

Is there a dress code?

As Chef O’Connell says, “anything but a wet bikini!” While our guests do tend to wear cocktail attire, we have no formal dress code. What is most important to us is that our guests are comfortable.

Can we use our gift certificate to book our reservation (dinner or overnight stay)?

Of course, however they currently cannot be accepted online. We kindly ask that guests looking to reserve a room or dinner with a gift certificate please call the reservations department and we will be happy to assist you.

Can you give me an overview on parking?

Complimentary valet parking is offered to all of our guests by simply pulling up in front of The Inn. Alternatively, we have a small parking lot directly across the lane from the Main Inn, as well as a large paved lot behind Patty O’s Café.
