For 48 years, The Inn’s “official” dress code has been “no wet bikinis.” Chef Patrick has graciously relaxed this requirement at the pool.
Towels and sunscreen are provided poolside. Robes are available in guest rooms and may be worn to the pool. For guests who may have forgotten a bathing suit, a selection is available for purchase in our Tavern Shops.
No lifeguard is on duty. Guests swim at their own risk.
Yes. Private events may be held at the pool outside of normal operating hours. Please contact our Special Events department for more information.

Yes. The pool is heated and kept at a comfortable 85 degrees year-round.

Yes. A private enclosed outdoor shower is available immediately adjacent to the pool for guests to use before or after swimming.
Yes. The pool is flanked by four luxurious cabanas, designed for relaxing poolside throughout the day. Cabanas are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be reserved in advance. Additional seating is available around the pool, as well as at our outdoor pavilion, The Temple of Diana, located adjacent to the pool.
No. The pool is a private amenity reserved exclusively for overnight hotel guests.

Breakfast is served to overnight guests in the main dining room from 8:00AM until 10:30AM and does not require a reservation.
Afternoon tea is served to all overnight guests between 2:00PM and 5:00PM in the living room and does not require a reservation. You may simply relax and enjoy your choice of teas and canapes as your room is being prepared.
Your room is guaranteed to be ready by 4:00PM, but you are more than welcome to arrive early for afternoon tea and take a stroll in our village.
Yes, however we have a limited number of tables that can accommodate larger parties. We kindly ask that guests with parties of 5 or more please make their reservations with the reservations department in order to make sure that we can accommodate you.

As Chef O’Connell says, “anything but a wet bikini!” While our guests do tend to wear cocktail attire, we have no formal dress code. What is most important to us is that our guests are comfortable.
Of course, however they currently cannot be accepted online. We kindly ask that guests looking to reserve a room or dinner with a gift certificate please call the reservations department and we will be happy to assist you.
Complimentary valet parking is offered to all of our guests by simply pulling up in front of The Inn. Alternatively, we have a small parking lot directly across the lane from the Main Inn, as well as a large paved lot behind Patty O’s Café.
