Born and raised in Virginia, Michael discovered his love of gardening at an early age while helping in his grandmother’s gardens. During more than a decade living and working in Colonial Williamsburg, that early interest grew into a deep devotion to the art of fine gardening. From managing the nurseries that supplied the historic landscapes to training with world-class topiary artists, he immersed himself in every detail of the craft. In 2022, when the opportunity arose, he knew without hesitation that The Inn was where he was meant to be—bringing Chef Patrick’s verdant visions to life through his artistry in the garden.
