  • Warrenton-Fauquier Heritage Day

    When: 09/25/2010

    10am - 4pm on Main Street in Old Town Warrenton

    A day of remembrance to honor the 250 years of extraordinary history in Fauquier County and Warrenton's National Designation as a "Preserve America Community".

    The event will begin at 10am, followed by an 11am Parade and Grand Review including cavalry riders in "A Ride with Mosby's Men" on Main St. in Old Town Warrenton. Living historians, hands-on demonstrations, period entertainment, historic lectures in the John Barton Payne Building, a children's activity table, town tours, and heritage displays will be located in and around the Old Court House Square.

  • Warrenton-Fauquier Heritage Day

    When: From 09/24/2011 to 09/25/2011

    Old Town Warrenton, and Buckland Farm

    9am - 3pm on Main Street in Warrenton

    3pm - 6:30pm at Buckland Farm

    Supported by the Town of Warrenton and Fauquier County. (Free Admission)

    SATURDAY

    10:00am - 3:00pm in Old Town Warrenton

    The Warrenton Caboose will be open from 9:00am - 10:30am.

    Witness the 11:00am historic Parade and Grand Review.

    Enjoy Main Street and Courthouse Square living history, entertainment, hands-on demonstrations, special heritage displays, tours, living historians, authors, Children's Corner, lectures, and performances.

    3:00pm - 6:00pm at Buckland Farm

    Exclusively open for Warrenton-Fauquier Heritage Day, Buckland Farm will be open from 3:00pm until 6:00pm and will include demonstrations by the Black Horse Cavalry, manor house tours, living historians, and period music.

    9:00am - 4:00pm at the Warrenton-Fauquier Visitor Center

    The HistoryMobile draws together stories from all over Virginia and uses state-of-the-art technology and immersive exhibit spaces to present individual stories of the Civil War from the perspectives of those who experienced it—young and old, enslaved and free, soldiers and civilians.

    SUNDAY

    12:00pm - 3:00pm in Old Town Warrenton

    The Piedmont Railroaders Train Display in the John Barton Payne Building.
